The Gospel Animals of Mark the Lion, Matthew the Man, John the Eagle, and Luke the Ox
As for the likeness of their faces, all four had the face of a Man, and the face of a Lion on the right side, and all four had the face of an Ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an Eagle.
- Ezekiel 1:10
The first Living Creature was like a Lion, the second was like an Ox, the third had a face like a Man, the fourth was like a flying Eagle.
- Revelation 4:7
For several mysterious reasons, the early Church Fathers deliberately identified all four authors of the Gospels with the four Heavenly Cherubim originally described by the Prophet Ezekiel who each had four different faces resembling a Man, Lion, Eagle, and Ox. These same quadruple-faced entities were also spotted by the Apostle John during his prophetic visions as recorded in the Book of Revelation. Traditionally, these odd-looking, mysterious four-faced humanoids are referred to by most English-language Bibles as the 'Four Living Creatures'. Since around the 3rd century AD, the Christian Church has matched the Lion with Mark, the Man with Matthew, the Eagle with John, and the Ox with Luke. This can be seen as follows:
St. Mark: Winged Lion, The Resurrection.- The Lion was the symbol of St. Mark, who opens his gospel with the mission of John the Baptist, "the voice of one crying in the wilderness." He also sets forth the royal dignity of Christ and dwells upon His power manifested in the resurrection from the dead.. (Sacred-texts.com)
St. Matthew: Winged Man, Incarnation.- To St. Matthew was given the creature in Human likeness, because he commences his gospel with the human generation of Christ, and because in his writings the human nature of Our Lord is more dwelt upon than the divine. (Sacred-texts.com)
St. John: The Eagle, Ascension.- The Eagle was allotted to St. John because, as the eagle soars towards heaven, he soared in spirit upwards to the heaven of heavens to bring back to earth revelation of sublime and awful mysteries. (Sacred-texts.com)
St. Luke: Winged Ox, Passion.- The form of the Ox, the beast of sacrifice, fitly sets forth the sacred office, and also the atonement for sin by blood, on which, in his gospel, he particularly dwells. (Sacred-texts.com)
Independently of their reference to the four evangelists these figures (living creatures) sometimes refer to the Incarnation, the Passion, the Resurrection, and the Ascension.
- Emblems of the Four Evangelists, Fictitious and Symbolic Creatures in Art (1909), by John Vinycomb (Sacred-texts.com)
I. St. Mark's Symbol of the Winged Lion represents the Resurrection of Christ..
II. St. Matthew's Symbol of the Winged Man represents the Incarnation of Christ.
III. St. John's Symbol of the Eagle represents the Ascension of Christ.
IV. St. Luke's Symbol of the Winged Ox represents the Passion of Christ.
Judeo/Christian Quote #1- Cornerstone
The rite of laying a Cornerstone is an important cultural component of eastern architecture and metaphorically in sacred architecture generally. The origins of this tradition are vague but its presence in Judeo-Christian countries can be associated with one quotation from the Old Testament (Psalm 118:22) cited six times in the New Testament (Matthew 21:42,Mark 12:10, Luke 20:17, Acts 4:11, Ephesians 2:20 and 1 Peter 2:7) and Isaiah 28:16 quoted by the writer of the Book of 1st Peter (1 Peter).

Brief Pictorial of Armenian Christianity's Use of the Star of David
| Tombstone of the Armenian Grand Prince Hasan Jalal Vahtangian (1214-1261 AD) |
Like many other aspects of Armenian culture, not much has been written about the Armenian usage of the hexagram. Even though its usage in science, art, architecture, decorations and even for religious purposes has been extensive throughout the history.

Among many symbols Armenians used the six pointed star for architectural purposes. Early Armenians believed the symbol to hold magical powers and incorporated it in architecture, astronomy and sacred art. Attesting to that are the numerous Armenian churches that are constructed in the shape of a six pointed star, the usage of hexagrams to support the dome or simply as sacred decoration protecting the Church like magic charms.

The first and the most important Armenian Cathedral of Etchmiadzin (303 AD, build by the founder of Christianity in Armenia) is in fact decorated with many types of ornamented hexagrams. Another example is seen on the tomb of an Armenian prince of the Hasan-Jalalyan dynasty of Khachen (1214 A.D.) in the Gandzasar Church of Artsakh. Maybe the most famous example of architectural usage of a hexagram can be admired in the 12th century Armenian Church, the Cathedral of St. James in Jerusalem. Where the hexagram shaped arches are supporting the dome. Similar dome arches in the shape of a six pointed star can be found throughout ancient Armenia.

That the Armenians are acquainted with this symbol from the times of the immemorial became once again clear when the oldest known depiction of a six pointed star (dating back to the 3rd millennium BC.) was excavated in the Ashtarak burial mound in “Nerkin Naver” (in Armenia). This was confirmed by a series of radiocarbon analysis of artifacts, conducted in laboratories in Germany and the USA. The handle of a dagger depicts the worlds earliest decoration of a six-pointed star buried in a burial mound containing over 500 graves.

The 'Correct' Sign of the Zodiac for Each of the 12 Apostles of Jesus Christ is NOT subject to Debate
Judging from the overwhelming consensus that is to be found at some of the more reputable sites on the internet who deal with issues of astrology and the 12 Signs of the Zodiac, it appears that the 'correct' correlation between the 12 Apostles and the Zodiac has been a settled issue for quite some time.
Yes, there are indeed some creative lunatics out there with their own outlandish new lists of Apostles to the Zodiac, but they are nearly always dead wrong and they know it deep down anyway. So, without any further introduction, here are the most likely, most logical, and most agreed upon Signs of the Zodiac as it relates to the 12 most important Saints of the Christian Church throughout the world, namely the 12 Apostles of Christ, all of them hand-picked by Rabbi Jesus Himself nearly 2,000 years ago:
The Sign of Aries is Saint Peter, the Sign of Taurus is Saint Simon, the Sign of Gemini is Saint James, the Sign of Cancer is Saint Andrew, the Sign of Leo is Saint John, the Sign of Virgo is Saint Philip, the Sign of Libra is Saint Bartholomew, the Sign of Scorpio is Saint Thomas, the Sign of Sagittarius is Saint James the Great, the Sign of Capricorn is Saint Matthew, the Sign of Aquarius is Saint Jude Thaddaeus, and the Sign of Pisces is Saint Matthias who replaced Judas Iscariot.
