Christian Obedience to the Ten Commandments of God the Father

אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי

Fear God and keep His Commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.

- Ecclesiastes 12:13

Someone came to Jesus and asked, “Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may obtain eternal life?” Jesus said to him, “Why are you asking Me about what is good? There is only One who is good; but if you wish to enter into life, keep the Commandments.

- Matthew 19:16-17

Someone recently made the somewhat ridiculous claim that 'If you choose to obey the Old Testament laws, obey them all. Otherwise, you are a hypocrite.' My visceral response was that any attempt to obey all the laws simply to avoid 'hypocrisy' would still result in a lower level of obedience to the Commandments which were more trivial and were punished far less severely. One should recognize that if every single one of Moses' Commandments, which by Jewish tradition totaled 613, were really equal in their importance, then all the recommended punishments for breaking them would also be the same. Yet, even a cursory reading of the Torah, the Five Books of Moses, clearly show many different punishments which were based upon the severity of the offense. For example, adultery and Sodomy are punishable by death, while other sexual offenses deemed less abominable are not. Some crimes or accidents result in a monetary fine, while others result in public lashings, or even death by stoning. Therefore, when obeying the Laws of Moses, individuals naturally tended to avoid breaking those Commandments that came with higher penalties, while still being lax concerning some of the others. All of this implies a distinct hierarchy of Commandments. Jesus Himself spoke about this hierarchy in the Gospels:

אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי

Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of Heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.

- Matthew 5:19-20

אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי

Obviously, this passage reflects a common Jewish tradition of rating the Commandments in a precise order of importance, while remaining well aware that obedience was required for all of them. The Jews at the time clearly recognized the Old Testament Commandments as a continuum, ranging from the very 'least' of the Commandments all the way up to some of the greatest like the prohibition against murder. Further on in the Gospel narrative, two of these particular laws are identified by Jesus when the authorities question Him about them. Christ teaches that the love for God comes first, while the love for one's neighbor is of secondary importance. This method of describing God's laws once again shows the 'hidden' hierarchy of God's several hundred different laws.

In Matthew's Gospel story cited above, Jesus basically uses two stereotypical Jews for his parable, both of which get to enter Heaven, yet end up with rankings and rewards that fit their differing levels of adherence, This represents the Divine justice of having a multi-tiered system of judgment for various levels of obedience. Those Jews who may disregard the minor, less important, parts of God's law are then deemed that much more inferior in Heaven's Divine hierarchy, and more guilty than the those who obeyed them all (613 Commandments). In short, Heaven may still open its gates to those who fall short of perfect obedience, but the end result of incurring minor infractions in this life inevitably lead to placement in the lower levels of Heaven.

אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי

He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me. He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward; and he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward. And whoever in the name of a disciple gives to one of these little ones even a cup of cold water to drink, truly I say to you, he shall not lose his reward.

- Matthew 10:40-42

Decreasing Heavenly Rewards: Father/Son's Reward > Prophet's Reward > Righteous Man's Reward > Little Ones' Reward

אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי

So, from the very least to the greatest of all, the Old Testament Commandments were understood by everyone to carry consequences after death which included Divine judgment and punishment. One could tentatively rank the laws by having the Ten Commandments placed above the rest of them, representing the highest pinnacle of God's law, followed by those other laws which could result in the death penalty, along with the Commandments punishable with permanent exile, followed by those which ended in physical and/or financial retribution. At the bottom of this legal hierarchy would come the civil laws and then an array of peculiar Priestly rituals, procedures, and other arcane rules, mainly intended for Temple sacrifices, certain Holidays, and other customs which only the privileged few ever actually observed. Thus, as both common sense and Judeo/Christian tradition dictate, one should look first and foremost to the Ten Commandments as the most important laws of God demanding the strictest observance compared to all the rest of them. The simple man or woman of faith has always known this to be case, only elite theologians have been dumb enough to ever argue about it. The average Judeo/Christian believer throughout the ages would never be such a fool.

In three out of the four Gospels, Jesus tells his followers that the most imperative Commandments are, just like tradition states, the Ten Commandments of Moses- originally written on tablets of stone, first by God and then by Moses. As such, the Gospels clearly indicate certain Old Testament laws were meant to remain in force and obedience to them an eternal requirement for those who had faith in Christ. This includes all Christian Gentiles, both then and now, who are still bound by the 10 Commandments recited by Jesus Christ. As the Gospels read:

אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי - אבגדהזוחטי

Jesus replied. “There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, keep the commandments.” “Which ones?” he inquired. Jesus replied, “‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, honor your father and mother,’ and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’”

- Matthew 19:17-19

Jesus answered. “No one is good-except God alone. You know the commandments: ‘You shall not murder, you shall not commit adultery, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, you shall not defraud, honor your father and mother.’

- Mark 10:18-19

Jesus answered. “No one is good-except God alone. You know the commandments: ‘You shall not commit adultery, you shall not murder, you shall not steal, you shall not give false testimony, honor your father and mother."

As history indicates, the most important ethical and moral laws of the Old Testament did, in fact, become Christian laws as well and have continued unto this very day. It would be absurd to ever accuse those Christians who actually obey the Words of Christ (10 Commandments) of being 'hypocrites' for not obeying them all. In reality, they will be viewed by Christ as good, simple Christians who, by obeying all 10 Commandments non-stop, will receive a higher place in Heaven compared to the bad Christians who may well have completely ignored the Laws of Moses. In the end, honest Christians simply cannot deny that Jesus not only mentioned the Ten Commandments, but by listing them one by one, He established them forever as Christian commandments. Those who believe they have already been saved by faith in Jesus Christ alone should, instead be cautious and perhaps even somewhat wary as they proceed onwards and forwards with their personal journey of faith. They should always remember His actual words as they are written in the Gospels- words which clearly indicate the Old Testament Commandments which Christians must obey, now and forever.

Jesus Christ Condemns Masturbation

‘Is not my word like fire,” declares the LORD, ‘and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?’

- Jeremiah 23:29

This may seem controversial to some, but the proofs that Jesus Christ condemns masturbation in the Gospels is fairly obvious and straight-forward. What probably seems confusing to some is how the innocent Jesus Christ even knew about masturbation.Remember, He was thirty-something carpenter who probably knew about at least some of these things from contact with His fellow workers.

How did Jesus know about throwing pearls, namely ejaculating into the open air? Well, the answer, in short, is that He had older brothers and a strict Jewish mother who taught Him to never masturbate. He probably also witnessed one or more acts of ritual prostitution where one male would have sex with a prostitute while the other males would masturbate, throwing their pearls of white semen all around when ejaculation was achieved. Without further delay, here is the exact understanding:

THE BASIC CLAIM:

Jesus Christ condemns both masturbation and prostitution using allusion and metaphor

THE BASIC METAPHOR:

THE GOSPEL PASSAGE: Do not give what is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, or they will trample them under their feet and turn and tear you to pieces. (Matthew 7:6)

THE INTERPRETATION: Do not have sex with prostitutes and ejaculate into them. Do not masturbate and ejaculate your sperm into the open air. Remain completely chaste or the demonic world will blow you away.

THE BASIC REASONING:

I. GOSPEL VERSE #1: Do not give what is holy to dogs = Do not have sex with prostitutes and ejaculate in their mouths and rectums. It is demonic.

II. GOSPEL VERSE #2: Do not throw pearls before swine = Do not masturbate and ejaculate to XXX (666) pornography. It is demonic.

Now, what follows is a piece-by-piece examination of the exact words of the Gospels, using historical and traditional interpretations and Biblical analysis. As it clearly reveals, Jesus Christ may well have been using multiple meanings in His sayings and parables, but at least one of them is obviously the earthy, but common sense, notion that one should never masturbate, a uniquely Jewish doctrine not shared by the Pagans, who masturbated frequently and openly. Here is the full analysis of the the two Gospel verses:

I. GOSPEL VERSE #1: Do not give what is holy to dogs

EXACT WORDS: What is holy

TRANSLATION: Your male virgin (or non-virgin) manhood and/or sperm

EXACT WORDS: Dogs

TRANSLATION: Ritual Prostitute, possibly young boy

THE BIBLICAL MEANING OF DOGS

OLD TESTAMENT: Thou shalt not bring the hire of a whore, or the price of a dog, into the house of the LORD thy God for any vow: for even both these are abomination unto the LORD thy God. (Deuteronomy 23:18)

INTERPRETATION: The hire of a whore, or the price of a dog – Many public prostitutes dedicated to their gods a part of their impure earnings; and some of these prostitutes were publicly kept in the temple of Venus Melytta, whose gains were applied to the support of her abominable worship. (Commentary on the Bible, by Adam Clarke, 1831)

II. GOSPEL QUOTE #2: Do not throw your pearls before swine

EXACT WORDS: ‘Your pearls’

TRANSLATION: Your white-colored male semen and/or sperm

EXACT WORDS: ‘before swine

TRANSLATION: To ejaculate staring at pornography

THE BIBLICAL MEANING OF SWINE

OLD TESTAMENT: This term ‘Swine’ usually was a code word for wicked, evil non-Jews. or degenerate, unbelieving Gentiles

INTERPRETATION: The actual pigs and swine who earn their fortune in the XXX (666) pornography industry, the demons which sexually prey on those who masturbate.

It is time to ask those fellow American ‘Yankee Doodle’ males, are you men or are you monkeys? Does anyone truly think it is possible to act like monkeys and also think and advance like men forever? I sincerely doubt it, I really do. It’s time to obey Christ in all ways and to stop masturbation throughout society and, in time, the entire world.

May the LORD God bless you in the name of St. Judas Maccabaeus.

The Good News Talmud, Part X. The Town and Country Animosities of Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow

Every teacher of the law who has become a disciple in the kingdom of Heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old.

- Matthew 13:52

Part X. The Town and Country Animosities of Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow

A Jewish Rabbi and Catholic Priest Study Talmud Together

Because of the Internet, there will someday be a website where every single passage from the Gospels will be cross-referenced with at least two or three corresponding passages from the Talmud. A free information society benefits the Judeo-Christian tradition tremendously. Some Christians remain hesitant because of the old animosities between the Church and Jewish Rabbis and Scholars. This tendency is completely explainable. Many of the Church's best intellectuals, like Rabbi Joshua ben Joseph (Jesus Christ) Himself, were from the countryside, and were not the wealthy and important physicians, advisers, and bankers of Kings and Queens, as quite a few Talmudic Rabbis happened to be at the time. Tomorrow's Christians will understand the continuing tension between Nazareth (country), the hometown of the common man and scholar, and Jerusalem, the cesspool capital of the elite media's hypocrisy, nepotism, and corruption (town).

The debate about the wickedness of the Talmud is over as more Christians finally read and discover the Judeo-Christian goodness clearly written in the very text that has been misquoted and vilified for far too long. The real fight is between the common man and the secular elites who scoff at the Gospels, the Talmud, the Old Testament, and many other religious texts they dismiss as 'out-dated', 'superstitious', and 'mythological'. The Wisdom of the Talmud lives in throughout the country, while the city gleefully mocks Judeo-Christian believers just as Pharaoh and his magicians, Caesar and his Senatorial elite, and Greco-Roman Philosophers did so long ago. In the end, the Talmud will end up as a major study tool of the 21st Judeo-Christian scholars of tomorrow.

TALMUD: He who refuses to accept an apology from one who has offended him is wicked. (Numb. Rabba 19.
GOSPEL: If your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them. Even if they sin against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you saying ‘I repent,’ you must forgive them. (Luke 17:3-4)

TALMUD: If you have not acquired knowledge, what can you claim to be possessed of? If you have knowledge, what do you lack?(Numbers Rabba 19)
GOSPEL: After three days they found Him (Jesus) in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them and asking them questions. And all who heard Him were amazed at His understanding and His answers. When they saw Him, they were astonished...And He went down with them and came to Nazareth, and He continued in subjection to them; and His mother treasured all these things in her heart. And Jesus kept increasing in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men. (Luke 2:46-52)

TALMUD: Let not the nations of the earth say that God has favoured Israel and neglected them, for whatever benefit He bestowed on Israel was given also to other nations. (Numbers Rabba 20)
GOSPEL: These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: “Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans. Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel. As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’ (Matthew 10:5-7)

TALMUD: In man's intellect there seem to be four degrees, and thus we find him losing his wits by four several degrees when indulging in strong drink. When a man drinks one-fourth more than is good for him, he loses one-fourth of his intellect; when he indulges in as much again, half of his faculties are for the time paralysed; after the third cup over and above what is good for him, he begins to speak incoherently, indeed he knows not what he says; and when he has indulged in the full four parts he is intellectually wrecked. (Numbers Rabba 10)
GOSPEL: Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap. (Luke 21:34)

TALMUD: Rabbis Gamaliel, Joshua, Eleazar b. Azaria and Akiba were preachers in Rome. (Exodus Rabba 30)
GOSPEL: On account of me you will stand before governors and kings as witnesses to them. And the Gospel must first be preached to all nations. (Mark 13:9-10)

The Talmud is not anti-Christian, but is filled with Rabbis who disagree

TALMUD: Of the many that go to sea most return, only a small percentage are lost. Also of those who plunge into the sea of matrimony most are happy, and only a small number are misalliances. (Numbers Rabba 9)
GOSPEL: Jesus answered, 'Moses allowed you to divorce your wives because you refused to accept God's teaching, but divorce was not allowed in the beginning.' (Matthew 19:7-9)

TALMUD: If any one tells you that there is no such thing as resurrection, refer him to what one of God's servants (Elijah) did (1 Kings 17) (Numbers Rabba 14)
GOSPEL: Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. Truly, truly, I say to you, an hour is coming and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live. (John 5:24-25)

TALMUD: If any one tells you that there is no such thing as resurrection, refer him to what one of God's servants (Elijah) did (1 Kings 17) (Numbers Rabba 14)
GOSPEL: That same day the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to him with a question....Jesus replied, "You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God. At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven. But about the resurrection of the dead-have you not read what God said to you, ‘I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob’? He is not the God of the dead but of the living.” When the crowds heard this, they were astonished at his teaching. (Matthew 22:23-33)

TALMUD: Man's eyes and his heart prompt him to sin. (Numbers Rabba 17)
GOSPEL: I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
(Matthew 5:28)

TALMUD: If you have not acquired knowledge, what can you claim to be possessed of? If you have knowledge, what do you lack?(Numbers Rabba 19)
GOSPEL: Woe to you experts in the law, because you have taken away the key to knowledge. You yourselves have not entered, and you have hindered those who were entering. (Luke 11:52)

TALMUD: The truth of the Torah is a weapon to its possessor. (Numbers Rabba 12)
GOSPEL: All who stand before others and say they do not believe in me, I will say before my Father in Heaven that they do not belong to me. Don't think that I came to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. (Matthew 10:33-34)

An Illuminated Page of the Talmud

TALMUD: He who refuses to accept an apology from one who has offended him is wicked. (Numb. Rabba 19.
GOSPEL: Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, 'Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?' Jesus answered, 'I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.' (Matthew 18:21-22)

Introduction to the Good News Talmud

Every teacher of the law who has become a disciple in the kingdom of Heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old.

- Matthew 13:52

Introduction to the Good News Talmud

I have been an amateur, Gentile Scholar of the Jewish Talmud for around ten or so years. I do not speak Yiddish, Aramaic, or Hebrew. Even so, and given everything I have learned so far without any Jewish input or instruction, I must conclude that the history of Gentile Christian animosity towards this astounding set of documents should be seen as a superstitious, unreasonable assault on common sense, let alone Biblical scholarship and practical judgment. Because of this, the Good News Talmud Series has been created to conclusively show the many astonishing similarities between the Gospels, the New Testament, and the Talmud, including the Babylonian Talmud, the Jerusalem Talmud, and all the later Rabbinical additions to them.

In reality, the Talmud is literally 99.999% acceptable to nearly all forms of Christian thought and reflects a sense of ethics and morality that is, in fact, far more strict than any form of Christianity. Those who still object to the .001% of the text which may, or may not, be offensive to Christianity, are lost in the land of irrationality and, God willing, someone will save them from themselves. Anyway, here is ABSOLUTE PROOF of an ancient, very real Judeo-Christian tradition embedded in both the Jewish Talmud and the Christian Gospel of Matthew. For those of you who have ever been mocked or ridiculed by either Jewish or Gentile intellectuals who insist that they has never been a Judeo-Christian tradition, here is your undeniable vindication.

TALMUD: Man has two hands, but he is not to rob with the one and give donations with the other. (Talmud, Midrash Proverbs 11)
GOSPEL: When you give to the poor, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving will be in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you. (Matthew 6:3-4)

TALMUD: Swear not at all, not even to the truth. (Talmud, Tanchum, Vayikra)
GOSPEL: I tell you, Do not swear at all. (Matthew 5:34)

TALMUD: The pure of heart are God's friends. (Talmud, Genesis Rabba 41)
GOSPEL: Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God. (Matthew 5:8)

TALMUD: If you intend to put man to rights, put yourself to rights first. (Talmud, Midrash Psalms 53)
GOSPEL: Why do you look at the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye?...You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye. (Matthew 7:3-5)

TALMUD: Have no compunction to chastise where chastisement is called for. It will produce not animosity, but eventually love and peace. (Talmud, Genesis Rabba 54)
GOSPEL: Moreover if your brother should trespass against you, go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he will hear you, you have gained your brother. (Matthew 18:16)

TALMUD: God knows our thoughts before they are formed. (Talmud, Genesis Rabba 9)
GOSPEL: Your Father knows what you need before you ask Him. (Matthew 6:8)

TALMUD: The truth of the Torah is a weapon to its possessor. (Talmud, Numbers Rabba 12)
GOSPEL: Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. (Matthew 10:34)

TALMUD: One of the characteristics of the righteous is that their yes is yes, and their no is no. (Talmud, Midrash Ruth 7)
GOSPEL: Simply let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No' be 'No', anything beyond this comes from the evil one. (Matthew 5:37)

TALMUD: Man's eyes and his heart prompt him to sin. (Talmud, Numbers Rabba 17)
GOSPEL: I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. (Matthew 5:28)

TALMUD: Adultery can be committed with the eyes. (Talmud, Leviticus Rabba 23)
GOSPEL: I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. (Matthew 5:28)

TALMUD: Immediately when a man is born he proceeds into death, when he dies he proceeds into life. (Talmud, Midrash Samuel 23)
GOSPELS: He who has found his life will lose it, and he who has lost his life for My sake will find it. (Matthew 10:39)

TALMUD: The Guardian Angels are always near God's throne. (Talmud, Tanchum, Sazrea)
GOSPELS: Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say unto you that in Heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in Heaven. (Matthew 18:10)

TALMUD: God lends eloquence to the suppliant. (Talmud, Midrash Proverbs 15)
GOSPEL: Do not worry about how or what you are to say, for it will be given you in that hour what you are to say. For it is not you who speak, but it is the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you. (Matthew 10:19-20)

TALMUD: No one can imagine the reward of him who accepts all his sorrows and reverses with religious resignation. (Talmud, Tanchum, Kee Saizai)
GOSPEL: Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven. (Matthew 5:11-12)

TALMUD: What Solomon meant to convey by the words, 'What profit has a man of all his labor which he does under the sun?' (Ecclesiaste 1:2) is that whatever a man may possess on earth, under the sun, he must inevitably part with, but it is different if he provides for himself above the sun, in Heaven. (Talmud, Midrash Ecclesiastes 1)
GOSPEL: A man came up to Jesus and asked, "Teacher, what good thing must I do to get eternal life?'...Jesus answered, 'If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in Heaven. Then come, follow me.' (Matthew 19:16-21)

TALMUD: As the sea throws up its debris upon the shores, so the wicked have filthiness upon their mouths. (Talmud, Midrash Psalms 2)
GOSPELS: Jesus asked them. 'Don't you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body? But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these make a man unclean. For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.' (Matthew 15:16-19)

TALMUD: When no justice is done here below, it will be accomplished from above. (Talmud, Deuteronomy Rabba 5)
GOSPEL: But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first. (Matthew 19:30)

TALMUD: Swear not at all, not even to the truth. (Talmud, Tanchum, Vayikra)
GOSPEL: I tell you, Do not swear at all: either by heaven, for it is God's throne; or by the earth, for it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King. And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make even one hair white or black. (Matthew 5:34-36)

TALMUD: To do justice and righteousness is more acceptable to God than sacrifices (Proverbs 21:3)...Sacrifices atoned only for sins committed in error not for presumptuous sin, justice and righteousness atone for all sins. (Talmud, Deuteronmy Rabba 5)
GOSPEL If only you had known what this means, 'I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,' you would not have condemned the guiltless. (Matthew 12:7)

TALMUD: Let no man boast of his exalted position. Even so great a man as Samuel received a rebuke for his lack of modesty.
(Talmud, Midrash Samuel 12)
GOSPEL: Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 18:4)

TALMUD: God will wipe away tears from off all faces (Isaiah 25:8). This means from the faces of non-Jews as well as Jews.
(Talmud, Genesis Rabba 26)
GOSPEL: Behold, my servant whom I have chosen...I will put my Spirit upon him, and he shall declare judgment to the Gentiles....And in his name shall the Gentiles hope. (Matthew 12:18-21)

TALMUD: The leper, the blind, the abject poor, and those who have no children are as though they are dead. (Talmud, Tanchum,Tsav)
GOSPEL: Another of the disciples said to Him, 'Lord, permit me first to go and bury my father.' But Jesus said to him, 'Follow Me, and allow the dead to bury their own dead.' (Matthew 8:21-22)

TALMUD: When no justice is done here below, it will be accomplished from above. (Talmud, Deuteronomy Rabba 5)
GOSPEL: Many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first. (Matthew 19:30)

TALMUD: He who hears himself abused (or cursed) and does not retaliate may be called a saintly man. (Talmud, Midrash Psalms 16)
GOSPEL: I tell you do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also. (Matthew 5:38)

TALMUD: The proverb says, 'If you give out your money in usury you will lose what you gain as well as your original capital.' (Talmud, Leviticus Rabba 3)
GOSPEL: For whoever has, to him shall be given and he shall have abundance: but whoever has not, from him shall be taken away even that which he has. (Matthew 13:12)

TALMUD: The righteous are put to more and severer trials than the unrighteous. (Talmud, Tanchum,Vaayro)
GOSPEL: Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 5:10)

TALMUD: When the prophets went forth on their mission the Holy Spirit rested upon them, awed and surprised their audience, and inspired them with respect for the prophets. (Talmud, Numbers Rabba 10)
GOSPEL: Jesus summoned His twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every kind of disease and every kind of sickness...These twelve Jesus sent out after instructing them: 'Do not go in the way of the Gentiles...but rather go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel...Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give.' (Matthew 10:1-8)

These passages are proof positive that the Christian Gospels were definitively Jewish in origin, reflecting mainstream Jewish thought and sentiment as seen during the lifetime of Joshua (Jesus Christ) that has continued, parallel with Christianity for thousands of years since that time. May the LORD God bless you in the name of Israel.

The Good News Talmud, Part IX. The Wisdom of the West is Best

Part IX. The Wisdom of the West is Best

Press 'Esc' key to exit.

The Wisdom of both the Talmud and the Gospels is never-ending and a sweet song unto the LORD. Those in denial are always quick to say the Wisdom of the East is just as good if not better. In fact, all the wisdom of the East can be found in the West, but the even more complex wisdom of the Judeo-Christian West is still lacking. Here are even more examples of the profound similarities found in both documents, written a long, long time ago.

TALMUD: See what an excess of wine did in the world. Noah came out of the ark with his three sons, his wife and their wives, who composed the human family of the world; and a fourth of this he cursed in consequence of his indulgence.(Numbers Rabba 10)
GOSPEL: Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap. (Luke 21:34)

TALMUD: R. Kahana also said, 'R. Nathan b. Minyomi expounded in R. Tanhum's name: why is it written, and the pit was empty, there was no water in it. From the implication of what is said, and the pit was empty, do I not know that there was no water in it; what then is taught by, there was no water in it? There was no water, yet there were snakes and scorpions in it.'- Shabbath 22a
GOSPEL: I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. (Luke 10:19)

TALMUD: Rabbis Gamaliel, Joshua, Eleazar b. Azaria and Akiba were preachers in Rome. (Exodus Rabba 30)
GOSPEL: Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. (Matthew 28:18-20)

TALMUD: It is prohibited to add to the canon of the Bible, consisting of twenty-four books. (Numbers Rabba 14)
GOSPEL: There they crucified Him, and with Him two other men, one on either side, and Jesus in between. Pilate also wrote an inscription and put it on the cross. It was written, 'JESUS THE NAZARENE, THE KING OF THE JEWS.' Therefore many of the Jews read this inscription, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew, Latin and in Greek. So the chief priests of the Jews were saying to Pilate, "Do not write, 'The King of the Jews'; just because He said, 'I am King of the Jews.'" Pilate answered, 'What I have written I have written.' (John 19:18-22)

There was no water, yet there were snakes and scorpions in it.'- Shabbath 22a
GOSPEL: Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him! (Luke 11:11-13)

TALMUD: Rabbis Gamaliel, Joshua, Eleazar b. Azaria and Akiba were preachers in Rome. (Exodus Rabba 30)
GOSPEL: This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: 'Here is my servant whom I have chosen, the one I love, in whom I delight. I will put my Spirit on him, and he will proclaim justice to the nations.' (Matthew 12:17-18)

TALMUD: Rabbis Gamaliel, Joshua, Eleazar b. Azaria and Akiba were preachers in Rome. (Exodus Rabba 30)
GOSPEL: Very truly I tell you Pharisees, anyone who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber. The one who enters by the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice.... “I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me- just as the Father knows me and I know the Father-and I lay down my life for the sheep. I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd. (John 10:1-14)

TALMUD: The infliction of stripes, given in the Torah, was not a severe punishment, and was moreover given in many instances in lieu of capital punishment, which the delinquent might have deserved besides. When the punishment had been inflicted, there was to be no further reproach attached to the punished individual, but he was to be received in the community as a brother (Deut. 25).--Numb. Rabba 5.
GOSPEL: Pilate then took Jesus and scourged Him. (John 19:1)

There was no water, yet there were snakes and scorpions in it.' - Shabbath 22a
GOSPEL: Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? (Matthew 7:8-10)

TALMUD: See what an excess of wine did in the world. Noah came out of the ark with his three sons, his wife and their wives, who composed the human family of the world; and a fourth of this he cursed in consequence of his indulgence.(Numbers Rabba 10)
GOSPEL: John came and did not eat or drink like other people. So people say, 'He has a demon.' The Son of Man came, eating and drinking, and people say, 'Look at him! He eats too much and drinks too much wine, and he is a friend of tax collectors and sinners.' But wisdom is proved to be right by what she does." (Matthew 11:18-19)

TALMUD: Rabbis Gamaliel, Joshua, Eleazar b. Azaria and Akiba were preachers in Rome. (Exodus Rabba 30)
GOSPEL: And this Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations, and then shall the end come. (Matthew 24:14)

TALMUD: MOSES declared (Exodus 4) that he was not a man of words, but observe his eloquence in the book of Deuteronomy; an eloquence acquired since he gained possession of the Torah. (Deuteronomy Rabba 1)
GOSPEL: The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice.... 'I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me- just as the Father knows me and I know the Father...They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd. (John 10:1-14)

The Good News Talmud, Part VII. The Growing Internet Awareness of the Talmud

Every teacher of the law who has become a disciple in the kingdom of Heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old.

- Matthew 13:52

Part VII. The Growing Internet Awareness of the Talmud

Because of the internet, along with unprecedented Gentile access to the Talmud, the animosity towards this astonishing volume of ancient literature will grow old, stale, and finally die. The fact remains that what some scholars refer to as the objectionable, or controversial, portions of the Talmud comprise a bare .01% of the entire text and are basically no more than a few sentences anyway. If one were to judge the Bible by the same standard, then it too would probably fall short. Put bluntly, because of the free access to the real Talmud the Age of the Christian Talmud-haters is going, going, gone.

TALMUD: 'The gates of prayer,' replied the Rabbi, 'may sometimes be closed, in contradistinction of the gates of repentance, which are never closed. (Deuteronomy Rabba 2)
He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out...Therefore Jesus said again, 'Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. All who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not listened to them. I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture.' (John 10:1-9)

TALMUD: When God first called Moses, not being then an expert prophet, he was addressed in a voice similar to that of his own father, and he thought that his father had come to him from Egypt. God then told him that it was not his earthly father who called him, but the God of his father. Then, we find, Moses hid his face, which he did not do when first called by his name, not in fact until he heard the words, 'I am the God of thy fathers.' (Exodus Rabba 45)
GOSPEL: 'The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out...his sheep follow him because they know his voice. But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice'...Therefore Jesus said again, 'Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. All who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not listened to them.' (John 10:3-8)

TALMUD: God knows our thoughts before they are formed. (Genesis Rabba 9)
GOSPEL: But when the Pharisees heard this, they said, 'It is only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, that this fellow drives out demons.' Jesus knew their thoughts and said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand. If Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then can his kingdom stand?' (Matthew 12:24-26)

TALMUD: There is a limit to everything except to the greatness and depth of the Torah. (Genesis Rabba 10)
GOSPEL: For truly I tell you, until Heaven and Earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of Heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of Heaven. For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of Heaven. (Matthew 5:17-20)

TALMUD: The present Rome is Edom. (Leviticus Rabba 22)
GOSPEL: Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him...Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me! (John 8:43-45)

TALMUD: Michael and Gabriel acted as 'best men' at the nuptials of Adam and Eve. God joined them in wedlock, and pronounced the marriage benediction on them. (Genesis Rabba 8)
GOSPEL: Now Mary Magdalene stood outside the tomb crying. As she wept, she bent over to look into the tomb and saw two angels in white, seated where Jesus’ body had been, one at the head and the other at the foot. They asked her, 'Woman, why are you crying?' 'They have taken my Lord away,' she said, 'and I don’t know where they have put him.' (John 20:11-13)

TALMUD: The inhabitants of Canaan had vices similar to those of the Egyptians, as regards witchcraft and immorality. The Israelites, who had seen nothing but evil practices up to now, would be prone to conclude- seeing the same vicious practices amongst the remaining nations of Canaan, that these practices were common to mankind. Wherefore God tells them (Leviticus 18:2), 'After the doings of the land of Egypt wherein you dwelt shall ye not do, and after the doings of the land of Canaan wherein I bring you shall ye not do.' As in Egypt, so will you be in Canaan, a rose amongst thorns. (Leviticus Rabba 24)
GOSPEL: I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as wise as serpents and as innocent as doves. (Matthew 10:16)

TALMUD: 'Thy camp shall be holy' (Deut. 23. 15). By this it is meant that we must be choice in speech. (Leviticus Rabba 24)
GOSPEL: And the Gospel must first be preached to all nations. Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Ghost. (Mark 13:10-11)

TALMUD: God knows our thoughts before they are formed. (Genesis Rabba 9)
GOSPEL: Jesus knew their thoughts (Matthew 12:25)

TALMUD: The Israelites were commanded to plant trees in Canaan when it came into their possession (Leviticus 19:23). Thus they were to occupy themselves in agriculture, and even imitate their God, who after calling the world into existence planted trees therein. (Leviticus Rabba 25)
GOSPEL: The kingdom of Heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds come and perch in its branches. (Matthew 13:31-32)

TALMUD: King Saul's conduct may well be compared to that of the king who decreed that all the cocks of the town should be destroyed, but the following day, having to undertake a journey and wishing to rise early, gave orders to procure him a cock to wake him at an early hour. Saul ordered all witches and wizards to be destroyed, and yet he was anxious to seek out a witch to learn from her the secrets of Heaven. (Leviticus Rabba 26)

TALMUD: It cannot be doubted that those who instigated the Israelites to make the golden calf were of 'the mixed multitude,' who fastened themselves on to the Israelites at the Exodus, and there is incontestable evidence of this in the words employed at the end of the pernicious work, for it is said (Exodus 32:4) 'These are thy gods.' Had the Israelites been the workers of this iniquity, they would have more appropriately said, 'This is our god that brought us out,' etc. (Leviticus Rabba 27)
GOSPEL: These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: “Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans. Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel. As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’" (Matthew 10:5-7)

TALMUD: If you want to court derision, give your opinion on weighty matters in the presence of your teachers or your superiors. (Leviticus Rabba 20)
GOSPEL: When He was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem according to the custom of the feast. When they had finished the days, as they returned, the Boy Jesus lingered behind in Jerusalem...Now so it was that after three days they found Him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, both listening to them and asking them questions. And all who heard Him were astonished at His understanding and answers. So when they saw Him, they were amazed...And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men. (Luke 2:41-52)

TALMUD: God knows our thoughts before they are formed. (Genesis Rabba 9)
GOSPEL: An argument started among the disciples as to which of them would be the greatest. Jesus, knowing their thoughts, took a little child and had him stand beside him. Then he said to them, 'Whoever welcomes this little child in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. For it is the one who is least among you all who is the greatest.' (Luke 9:46-48)

May the LORD God bless you in the name of Rabbi Joshua ben Joseph, the Nazarene.

The Good News Talmud, Part V. The Judeo-Christian Messianic Age

Every teacher of the law who has become a disciple in the kingdom of Heaven is like the owner of a house who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old.

- Matthew 13:52

Part V. The Judeo-Christian Messianic Age

Talmudic Scholars Work and Study

If you think you have had already had enough, think again. The Judeo-Christian legacy continues, not for any sudden globally-catastrophic reckoning, but for a centuries-long preparation that lies ahead. A long time ago, both Judaism and Christianity predicted that the Messiah would come sometime around the third millenium, give or take a few hundred years. Specifically, Orthodox Judaism predicts, indeed believes, that this will begin to occur around 200-300 years from now in the Jewish 6th millenium in the year 6000 A.A. (After Adam). Until then, all believers in the God of Abraham, all God-fearing Jews and Christians, should prepare for this by forgetting the politics, the ethnicities, and the economic strife of today and tomorrow and instead concentrate on being the telepathic, lycanthropic 'People of God.' These two 'supernatural' abilities are expected to be the first manifestations of the Messianic Age. The leading sheep of tomorrow's eternal flock of Earthlings (furry or otherwise) are destined to inherit first grazing rights to a very wet planet where the Sahara has gone green with envy over the Messiah's long-promised one thousand year reign.

TALMUD: Man is the last in creation and the first in responsibility. (Leviticus Rabba 14)
GOSPEL: As they were walking along the road, a man said to him, 'I will follow you wherever you go.' Jesus replied, 'Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.' (Luke 9:57-58)

TALMUD: Do not enter any house without some indication of your coming, such as knocking at the door: even in your own house you should not make your appearance suddenly or unexpectedly; something may be going on there which, however innocent, may cause you annoyance and may lead to a want of peace and harmony in your household. (Leviticus Rabba 21)
GOSPEL: After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. He told them...'Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves. “When you enter a house, first say, ‘Peace to this house.’ If someone who promotes peace is there, your peace will rest on them; if not, it will return to you. Stay there, eating and drinking whatever they give you, for the worker deserves his wages. Do not move around from house to house. (Luke 10:1-7)

TALMUD: If a man is a witness, whether he has seen or otherwise knows of a thing, if he does not testify he shall bear his iniquity (Leviticus 5:1). 'You, my people,' says God to Israel, 'have both seen (Deuteronomy 4:35), and know (Deuteronomy 5:39) that I am God, and thus you are my proper witnesses (Isaiah 43:10). If then you will not proclaim Me as God to all nations of the earth, you shall bear your iniquity.' (Leviticus Rabba 6)
GOSPEL: Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. (Matthew 28:19-20)

TALMUD: Moses had more than one reason for addressing the Heavens and the Earth and calling them as witnesses. In the first place it should not be forgotten that Moses, whilst only a man, was a heavenly as well as an earthly man. He was no stranger to heaven, and if he had addressed himself to the earth only he would have been like one who, being made governor of a dominion, should address one part of the country under his charge and ignore the other. But there is a weightier reason, inasmuch as the heavens and the earth will not be indifferent spectators at Israel's redemption, but will sing and shout and break forth in singing (Isaiah 44:33). Another important point: they were adjuncts at the giving of the Decalogue. Moreover, Israel had been compared to the stars of heaven and to the dust of the earth. (Deuteronomy Rabba 10)
GOSPEL: And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, 'All authority has been given to Me in Heaven and on Earth.' (Matthew 28:18)

TALMUD: Be not spiteful or revengeful, and do not harbour any wrong which you may have suffered at any one's hands. In spite of all the wrongs and sorrows the Egyptians have inflicted on Israel, God does not allow us to abhor an Egyptian. (Deuteronomy Rabba 5)
GOSPEL: Be on your guard! If your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. And if he sins against you seven times a day, and returns to you seven times, saying, 'I repent,' forgive him. (Luke 17:3-4)

TALMUD: The Israelites are declared to be holy unto the Lord (Jeremiah 2:3). It is forbidden to touch holiness, therefore those who persecute them will not escape retribution. (Numbers Rabba 2)
GOSPEL: You have heard that it was said, 'AN EYE FOR AN EYE, AND A TOOTH FOR A TOOTH.' But I say to you, do not resist an evil person; but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. (Matthew 5:38-39)

TALMUD: A community rejecting the leadership of the great and selecting as its leaders insignificant individuals can only be compared to the serpent which decided to creep along tail foremost, in consequence of which it was hurt by thorns, burnt by fire, and injured by water; a community should not be led by one man only. Moses himself confessed his inability to lead single-handed. (Deuteronomy Rabba 1)
GOSPEL: When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases, and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. (Luke 9:1-2)

GOSPEL: Now Herod was very glad when he saw Jesus; for he had wanted to see Him for a long time, because he had been hearing about Him and was hoping to see some sign performed by Him. And he questioned Him at some length; but He answered him nothing. And the chief priests and the scribes were standing there, accusing Him vehemently. And Herod with his soldiers, after treating Him with contempt and mocking Him, dressed Him in a gorgeous robe and sent Him back to Pilate. (Luke 23:8-11)

GOSPEL: You have heard that it was said, 'AN EYE FOR AN EYE, AND A TOOTH FOR A TOOTH.' But I say to you, do not resist an evil person, but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. If anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, let him have your coat also. Matthew 5:38-40

A Talmud Scholar, by Norm Altman

TALMUD: Slander no one, whether brother or not your brother, a Jew or non-Jew.--Deut. Rabba 6.
GOSPEL: I say unto you, that whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment and whosoever shall say to his brother, 'worthless one,' shall be in danger of the council; while whosoever shall say, `Thou fool,' shall be in danger of hell fire. (Matthew 5:22)

TALMUD: Better for you to have no more than two coins (about a shilling) as the means with which to gain a livelihood, than to be a man of large capital and employ it in usury. (Leviticus Rabba 3)
GOSPEL: When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases, and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick. He told them: 'Take nothing for the journey-no staff, no bag, no bread, no money, no extra shirt.' (Luke 9:1-3)

GOSPEL: The one who endures to the end, he will be saved. This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come. (Matthew 24:13-14)

TALMUD: Slander no one, whether brother or not your brother, a Jew or non-Jew. (Deuteronomy Rabba 6)
GOSPEL: If your brother sins, go and show him his fault in private; if he listens to you, you have won your brother. But if he does not listen to you, take one or two more with you, so that BY THE MOUTH OF TWO OR THREE WITNESSES EVERY FACT MAY BE CONFIRMED. If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the Church, and if he refuses to listen even to the Church, let him be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector. (Matthew 18:15-18)

TALMUD: A certain ruler there was, who when thieves and the recipients of their stolen goods were brought before him, invariably discharged the former and severely punished the latter. (Leviticus Rabba 6)
GOSPEL: He (Jesus Christ) would not permit anyone to carry merchandise through the temple. And He began to teach and say to them, "Is it not written, 'MY HOUSE SHALL BE CALLED A HOUSE OF PRAYER FOR ALL THE NATIONS'? But you have made it a ROBBERS' DEN.'' The chief priests and the scribes heard this, and began seeking how to destroy Him; for they were afraid of Him, for the whole crowd was astonished at His teaching. (Mark 11:16-18)

GOSPEL: If speech is silver, then silence is gold. (Leviticus Rabba 16)
TALMUD: Now Herod was very glad when he saw Jesus, for he had wanted to see Him for a long time...and was hoping to see some sign performed by Him. And he questioned Him at some length, but He answered him nothing. And the chief priests and the scribes were standing there, accusing Him vehemently. (Luke 23:8-10)

TALMUD: There was a limit to every prophet's inspiration. Beeri, the father of Hosea, only uttered a few words of prophecy, and as they were insufficient to be embodied in a book by themselves, they were incorporated within the book of Isaiah, namely verses 19 and 20 of the 8th chapter of Isaiah. (Leviticus Rabba 15)
GOSPEL: As they were walking along the road, a man said to him, 'I will follow you wherever you go.' Jesus replied, 'Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.' (Luke 9:57-58)

May the LORD God bless you in the name of the Judeo-Christian tradition.
